Dialogue Club

Living in a world with such diversity among its individuals, it should be a very interesting and exciting experience getting together and creating a Dialogue – while we differ, there must be something we have in common deep inside that can make mutual understanding possible.

Dialogue Club is about:

1. Creating a platform where ideas and opinions can truly be exchanged and listened to
2. Getting an opportunity to get to know people with different beliefs, ideologies and backgrounds and to learn from one another’s experiences

And the topics are not limited to social issues and public polices!

Dear Friends,

Every year, IYSS (www.iyss.org) led a group of Canadian youth go to Yunnan, China.
We went to Yunnan China last Christmas, experience rural life in an impoverished village by living with and working alongside a local farmer; also they visited local schools and engage in cultural exchange with the local students.

Through their experience, they learn a lot from the trip. One of the thing they learned is: A caring attitude for those in need.

So, after they are back to Canada, they form a committee, started to raise fund, build a school for those in need.

Walk To Downtown , Build A School

The Purpose of this Walkathon Fundraising Event, is raise fund build a school in an impoverished village located in Yunnan, China.

A group of High School youths will be taking a 15 kilometre on OCt 17, 2010 (Sunday) at 11am, from the IYSS headquarters in Richmond, across the Oak Street Bridge, down to Granville Street and all the way down to our ultimate destination, the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
